Slayer Tycoon Getting Started
A first-session plan for Coldjason’s two-player Demon Slayer tycoon.
Slayer Tycoon looks like a normal Roblox tycoon until you leave. The Roblox page says it plainly: the game is not designed to save. Your buttons, cash, and katana reset. The only things that reliably come back are badges, some haori inventory items, and the accessories added in v2.0. This guide is a rebuild script for one sitting — usually 20 to 40 minutes if you do not die with a bag of ore.
Play on the official place. Creator is Coldjason; map work is AzuriteStorm. Servers hold 12 players, so up to six duos can occupy the map. If the title is a different “Slayer Tycoon” with a few hundred thousand visits, you are in the wrong lobby.
Minute 0–5: claim and faction
Walk to an empty tycoon pad. You pick Slayer or Demon for that base. The design wants a pair: one of each. A Slayer can buy the Katana Sensei; a Demon can buy the Art Sensei. Both can later buy fighting styles from the Styles Sensei under the waterfall, so a duo is not locked out of unarmed kits.
If you are truly solo, v2.0’s Solo Player Style exists, but it is expensive (low $70ks). First session, still claim a pad and play as if a partner might join. Griefers exist — geared players hunt farmers — so do not AFK on the money plate with a full ore stack.
Read Slayer vs Demon if you want the long version. Short version: Slayers get wisteria walls and a nurse; Demons get an udon heal shop and Blood Demon Arts that often farm bosses faster. For a first kit, Insect Breathing (about $25,000) or Rooting Gun Art (about $15,000) are the honest openers.
Minute 5–15: cash before cosmetics
You spawn with a hatchet and a pickaxe. They persist through death, which is why dying is annoying but not a full reset. Do this in order:
- Step on the money plate and buy income upgrades before furniture. Community notes say the plate starts around $70 per tick and can be pushed toward the low tens of thousands; get at least through the early four-digit upgrades before you wander.
- Chop nearby trees. Sell wood to the lumberjack near the bridge for $650 each.
- Mine Nichirin / Michirin ore in the rice-field mineshaft. The miner NPC pays about $1,900 per piece (some older lists say $1,400 — check the prompt). Ore is the better cash, and it is also a crafting reagent.
- Do not buy the Sensei until you can also afford a cheap kit plus one wood and one ore. The Sensei is $5,000. A kit still needs materials on top of its cash price.
The full numbers live in how to make money and the tools cost tables. This page only cares that you do not spend $9,500 on a clothes spin before you own a trainer.
Minute 15–25: buy a kit
Path A, Slayer: pay $5,000 for the Katana Sensei inside the tycoon. Buy Insect or Beast (about $32,000) if you have the cash. Insect is cheaper and still has a finisher after v2.0. Save Fire God for a Robux session — it is a 350 R$ gamepass plus a large cash fee.
Path B, Demon: pay $5,000 for the Art Sensei. Rooting Gun, Dream, or Tsuzumi sit in the $15k–$23k band. Shockwave (about $70,000) is the classic midgame pickup and still one of the best PvE arts; it is not a first-buy unless your plate is already humming.
Every breathing and art purchase consumes 1 wood + 1 ore + cash. If the prompt fails, you are missing a reagent, not “bugged.” Details: breathing list and demon arts.
Combat you need on day one
Learn controls before you enter the mines. Standing Q is a roll. Q while moving is a sprint that, in v2.0, lasts until you stop. E R T Y U fire the kit. Mouse is M1. Xbox uses Y to roll and the D-pad for skills.
Do not fight the first boss you see unless you have food and a ranged or i-frame move. The Infinite Train dumps bosses on a timer; bosses explains that Biwa is the easy end of the published list and Shockwave Demon is the scary end. Dying with ore in the backpack is the most common first-session brick.
What not to buy yet
- Haori packs — most are offsale. If you already own them, they sit in Roblox inventory; do not delete those items or the in-game cosmetic can vanish.
- Moon Art (700 R$) and Fire God until you can actually use the kit for the rest of the session.
- Clothes merchant spins until the Sensei and a kit are done. Spins do save, which makes them tempting, but a $9,500 spin is a Beast katana you skipped.
- Infinity Castle teleport (10 R$) until you have a Strong Soul and the 250 R$ Awaken pass. Awakening is a dedicated guide.
End of session
If the server is dying and you still have cash, convert it into something that survives: an accessory spin, or at least a Strong Soul spent on an awaken you already paid Robux for. Otherwise accept the reset. Next join, this same checklist is faster because you now know the lumberjack, miner, and Sensei pads. Use the map guide once the first kit feels automatic.
For rankings after the first buy, open the tier list hub. For partner arguments, use factions. For patch context, use v2.0.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does Slayer Tycoon save my tycoon?
No. Cash, buttons, and weapons reset. Accessories from v2.0 save. Plan each join as a fresh run.
Should I play Slayer or Demon first?
Either works. Insect is a cheap Slayer opener; Rooting Gun is a cheap Demon opener. A duo should split factions. See factions.
What is the first weapon I should buy?
Insect Breathing or a low-tier demon art. Skip Fire God and Moon Art until the plate and reagents are stable. Solo queues: how to play solo.
Can I play Slayer Tycoon solo?
Yes, slowly. v2.0 added Solo Player Style, but a partner still cuts the rebuild time. Fighting styles lists the solo kit.
